When I first discovered (and fell in love with) Krabi, it wasn't because of that stunningly familiar Andaman sea and heavenly beaches.
It was this on a rainy day when clouds hugged the karst mountains that scattered through out the province's landscapes. That tranquil "lake" canalling through the hinterland; the most gorgeous estuary through the prairies and mangroves that speak much about the beauty of this area beyond the famous touristy islands. If this was her rainy day then I couldn't imagine her fine day!
After driving through charming villages from one karst mountain after another, I remember that I couldn't quite place my whereabouts as I was spending my time by this water. Calm. Me, my driver and a couple of fishermen.
I could be anywhere. Anywhere so, so eternally beautiful.
