Summer officially began in Thailand this week. The increasingly searing temperatures in the coming weeks lead us to think of Songkran that falls during mid April; when the very first rain usually occurs to cool down the heat.
In my opinion, there isn't anything else quite like Songkran that unites Thai people in such a light-hearted way. The best reflection of the fun loving culture.
The old, the young, the beauty queens, the religious, the locals, the visitors (who understand what this is about). Smiles guarranteed.
