This is the heart of what is known as "Lohng Kaut Model" - Thailand's first and most successful land restoration and conservation project of almost 30,000 hectare of land.
From a natural-disaster-hit zone due to deforestation decades ago, the land is now restored back to its 100% pristine condition. The peaceful, Buddhist community now enjoys the clean, fertile abundant valley with dreamlike surroundings and the productive farming makes poverty almost non existent.
